Mark 8
33 … Jesus turned and looked at his disciples, he rebuked Peter. “Get behind me, Satan!” he said. “You do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.”
For me this is a good reminder to try to look at situations and people through God’s eyes. It never looks the same from my eyes! God sees the end from the beginning. He sees the potential in each of us. He sees the big picture.
36 What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul? 37Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?
What can a man give in exchange for his soul? Hmmmmmmm. This makes me think of choices. Do I choose this, or that? Do I choose to eat healthy, or not. Do I choose to spend my time on things that matter? Or veg for hours in front of the TV or computer. Do I blow up over a situation, or ask myself if it will really matter next week, or next month, or 10 years from now?
Lord, you said that if we lack wisdom, just ask You.
Lord, we are asking.
Please give us wisdom in our everyday choices.
Help us to see everthing,
Especially people,
Through Your eyes.
Thank you!
